Total Youth Productions (TYP) hosted its kickoff meeting for the 2023-2024 season on August 13th. Both new and familiar faces were welcomed into TYP.

The meeting began with a mental health seminar presented by Elim Counseling Center. Speaker  Janet Choung, MS LMFT, CPDPE, gave an introduction to mental health and emotional self-awareness. Considering the pandemic-induced rise in mental health issues, TYP has found our events with Elim to be very helpful, and we’re thankful that they came again.

Next was a brief introduction to TYP itself. New TYP members were introduced to TYP’s mission, function, and various volunteer events. Then the new TYP leadership was introduced and President’s Volunteer Service Awards were distributed to continuing members who qualified for the award last year. Continuing members also had the opportunity to review and finalize their magazine articles that will be published in TYP’s biannual magazine.

We had a great start, here’s to hope that TYP continues 2023-2024 strong!
