On January 15th , 2023, TYP hosted its second orientation meeting to welcome new members in the TYP office. The small and individual-focused group outlined formal membership rules and expectations, including TYP structure and requirements, attendance policies, the biannual magazine and its production process, and the many benefits of TYP membership. TYP offers enriching volunteer opportunities, one-to-one mentoring, seminars and lectures from experts, internship opportunities, scholarships, CPR and first aid certification (upper grade TYP members have already completed CPR training and 9th graders are scheduled to take the same course in February), and the potential for a President’s Volunteer Award. The members then bonded over boba as they discussed plans for future publication.
